Gasmask Girl

Lucinda Lyons
This painting is the original 'Gas Mask Girl' in mixed media acrylic, charcoal and pastel (from which the variant Gasmask Girl NFTs have been fashioned) It is graffitid with several inscriptions, the most notable 'Tomorrows World Now'. Back in 2017 Lucinda was inspired by the Red Sand Fogs that hit the UK from North Africa. In her vision she could see a future with people having to wear masks to cope with the polution and sand fog. Needless to say in 2020 Lucinda's vision became a reality across the globe as Covid broke.

When you buy something from an artist you’re buying more than an object. You’re buying hundreds of hours of errors and experimentation. You’re buying years of frustration and moments of pure joy.
You’re not buying just one thing, you are buying a piece of heart, a piece of soul… a small piece of someone else’s life.
